‘Roll Up Your Sleeves’ Training
This course is designed to be very practical and hands on, enabling teachers to develop their skills and confidence in drawing, painting and printmaking. We know that experiential learning is memorable and effective, so this course provides a perfect chance for teachers to explore this learning style whist creating their own artwork. The progression of skills in each medium is outlined and throughout the session there are tips, techniques and teaching points that you can use to develop and enhance your teaching of these mediums in school. This course will leave you feeling much more knowledgeable and skilled in art & design mediums and eager to teach this subject in school. The session it always tailor made to your school’s requirements and where possible, your school resources such as pencils, paints, rollers etc are used.

Primary schools based in North West England (curriculum leaders, art subject leaders, class teachers, HLTAs).
How Long does the training last?
‘Roll up Your Sleeves’ training sessions are held in your school and are available as:-
- Staff meetings (1 medium)
- Twilights (1 medium)
- INSET – half days (2 mediums)
- INSET – full days ( 3 mediums)
Mediums available include drawing, painting and printmaking.
