Brand New! Creative Music Resources
After successfully launching our brand new Bubbles Music Lesson Plans series in January, starting with KS1, we are pleased to announce the arrival of our Lower Key Stage Two materials. The Bubbles Music Lesson Plans are designed to support the less confident primary teacher and any practitioners who feel they need a little more detailed content to help teach music most effectively.
By splitting each of the twelve Bubbles units up into six individual lesson plans, teachers are able to work through the unit phases at their own pace. Each activity is described in detail and a playlist is provided so that extra tracks can be easily sourced and incorporated to enhance lessons, as well as still using the tracks on the Bubbles Music Audio CD. These plans are designed to be used in conjunction with the Bubbles Music Lower Key Stage Two Resource File and can be purchased as an add-on. Support and training is also available to help schools get the best out of their Bubbles resources.
Schools can order their full Bubbles Music LKS2 Resource pack including file, audio CD, CD-ROM and Lesson Plans for £100 ex. VAT & P&P at www.bubbleseducation.co.uk
Existing schools already using Bubbles Music can contact us directly to order their LKS2 Lesson Plans CD, price £30 ex. VAT & P&P.
Bringing Life to the Curriculum - Our Creative Workshops
Pounds, Shillings and Pence!
Maths and history combine in an exciting workshop delivered by Dimensions Curriculum!

Lucky pupils in a local school were given the opportunity to develop their maths skills in a meaningful, creative way. The workshop, designed and delivered by Gary Cunliffe for Dimensions Curriculum Ltd. excited and inspired a group of gifted and talented pupils, extending their maths learning through finding out about old money.
The workshop leader used old coins, film clips and adverts of old products with prices on to compare money today and calculate the changes. He also introduced two local octogenarians, who were able to share their wisdom and experience of managing money, bringing with them real ration books and old coins, as well as their shopping lists and memories to share with the children.
Linking maths and history, whilst bringing together the young and old, resulted in an exciting partnership with shared experiences, giving the learning some real meaning for the children.
Mark Noblett, Assistant Headteacher, said “We approached Dimensions to deliver this workshop because we have worked very successfully with them in the past. The children are always easily engaged in this type of creative teaching and get a lot from the experience. It’s great preparation for The Preston Guild.”
