Primary Music Resources make Learning Fun!

Bubbles_musicThe Bubbles Music resource files are designed to help deliver the Early Years and Primary school music curriculum in a fun and meaningful way. They contain an introductory section, designed to demystify music with easy-to-understand vocabulary and clear layout.

There is also a Warm-Up games section, as well as an introduction to simple music ICT. The CD-ROM provides all sections of the resource file in editable Microsoft® Word document format. There are also additional images for use with an interactive whiteboard to enhance the teaching and learning experience. The audio CD includes tracks to support the Warm-Up games and theme units, including vocal and backing tracks for our original, catchy songs.

The content in the Bubbles Primary Music Resources fully covers the latest Primary National Curriculum music requirements!

Teachers can be confident that using the Bubbles Primary Music Resources ensure progression in music in line with age-related expectations.

By using the Bubbles Primary Music Resources in Key Stage One, pupils are given plenty of opportunities to use their voices expressively and creatively; play tuned and untuned instruments musically; listen with concentration and understanding and experiment with, create, select and combine sounds using the inter-related dimensions of music.
Through using the Bubbles Primary Music Resources in Key Stage Two, pupils are given opportunities to play and perform using their voices and playing musical instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression; improvise and compose music for a range of purposes using the inter-related dimensions of music; listen with attention to detail and recall sounds with increasing aural memory; use and understand staff and other musical notations; appreciate and understand a wide range of recorded music drawn from different traditions and composers and musicians in order to develop an understanding of the history of music.

3D PSHE Citizenship Programme is a wonderful resource and is easy to use. It fits with the development matters for EYFS and all PSHE aspects throughout the primary curriculum - including recent updates for Prevent. The programme is interactive and "hands on" getting the children engaged and involved who have enjoyed using it throughout the year. The provided lesson plans can be used independently or to support the SEAL programme already in school - so great for teachers and saves time on planning!

Marking Quote

“The Ofsted inspection reflected a huge improvement in our past performance. They were impressed with all aspects of the school and could see the curriculum work we are doing through Dimensions has made a big difference. They were particularly impressed with the marking programmes and the fact that the children were able to explain how they worked and implement next steps themselves. There is no doubt that Dimensions has had a hugely positive impact on raising standards.”

“I'm really enjoying learning with our new themes. I can make connections between what I am learning in different subjects. We do lots of practical and fun things in class now. My favourite was the Cracking Ideas theme. I loved it so much I didn't want it to end!"

Comment from Ofsted March 2016, Waterloo Primary School, Ashton-Under-Lyne

"The school's curriculum ensures a strong focus on developing the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics. Pupils' knowledge and skills in other subjects, such as science, geography, history and art are developed through a range of cross-curricular topics and themes, which are planned to capture and motivate their interest and develop a love of learning. Pupils' positive views about their work reflect that this is successful."

"Bubbles resources are incredibly simple and easy to follow. The warm-up activities are great – my children are singing ‘Radio Rock’ continually at the moment!!! I like the fact it links with other resources we have in school and that it reinforces teaching in other curricular areas. I've found it to be an invaluable, creative way to teach and wouldn't hesitate in recommending the resources to other teachers."
