Marking with Best Buds!

“Best Buds combines a fun feedback system with peer-support strategies to increase pupil progress and achievement in primary schools.”

Maths Marking school system simple quick cheap As part of every day assessment, teachers mark pupils books with a quick and easy character stamp – “Flash”, “Fuzzy” or “Fluff” – that reflects their achievement. The focus on fun characters gives pupils an easy-to-understand system that motivates and encourages them to make progress and be self-aware of their strengths and areas to focus on for future improvement.

Teachers can choose to group pupils according to their stamps (are they a “Fuzzy”, “Flash” or “Fluff”?!) to take part in “Fix-It Time”. Fix-it time can be grouped by ability – i.e., the “Flashes” can help the ‘Fluffs”! We at Dimensions, believe it is crucial for children to be able to learn from their mistakes and build up resilience to make that all-important pupil progression!
