Overview

3D PSHE Early Years Programme

PSHE Early Years Meet Lily, Sam and friends! Our colourful characters will appeal to children and our well-written, beautifully illustrated stories and clear learning outcomes will appeal to teachers.

“3D PSHE Programme is a wonderful resource and easy to use. It fits with the development matters for EYFS and all PSHE aspects throughout the primary curriculum – including recent updates for Prevent.
St. John Vianney’s Primary School, Blackpool

We have based the structure of the Early Years programmes on the EYFS Prime Area of Personal, Social and Emotional Development. We cover the key concepts and skills that underpin PSHE Education, matched in with the Development Matters Framework.  Designed to support pupils’ SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural) education, focusing on Health and Wellbeing, Relationships and Living in the Wider World. Naturally, British Values are at the heart of 3D PSHE.

Early Years 3D PSHE provides schools and Early Years settings with a comprehensive series of creative and fun lesson plans, linked to age-appropriate stories featuring characters Lily and Sam. The individual lesson plans can be easily incorporated in to the EYFS curriculum using a ‘pick up and teach’ approach and come complete with all necessary additional resources.

“I liked it when the little boy could swim on his back and the girl’s dad helped him.”

Marking Quote

“The Ofsted inspection reflected a huge improvement in our past performance. They were impressed with all aspects of the school and could see the curriculum work we are doing through Dimensions has made a big difference. They were particularly impressed with the marking programmes and the fact that the children were able to explain how they worked and implement next steps themselves. There is no doubt that Dimensions has had a hugely positive impact on raising standards.”

Daisyfield Primary School, Blackburn

"The school’s recently revised curriculum is interesting, broad and well balanced. Your carefully chosen revisions to the curriculum for subjects other than English and mathematics engage all learners, but particularly boys. Teachers make good use of practical experiences to engage pupils in learning about abstract concepts. For example, in a computing lesson, pupils developed their skills in creating and debugging algorithms through the production of a jam sandwich." (Daisyfield Primary School, Blackburn; Ofsted Short Inspection report December 2017)

Comment from Ofsted March 2016, Waterloo Primary School, Ashton-Under-Lyne

"The school's curriculum ensures a strong focus on developing the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics. Pupils' knowledge and skills in other subjects, such as science, geography, history and art are developed through a range of cross-curricular topics and themes, which are planned to capture and motivate their interest and develop a love of learning. Pupils' positive views about their work reflect that this is successful."
