We’re delighted to launch our new KS1 Extremism and Radicalisation focus unit – part of our whole-school 3D PSHE programme! Meet ‘Redfern Right’ – a key character in our sensitive, age-appropriate resource, designed to help tackle Extremism and Radicalisation with KS1 children.

Extremism and radicalisation is a difficult area to tackle with children. In fact, should we really be tackling it at all? Well, the feedback we’ve had from teachers is that many pupils are coming into school, having seen the terrorist attacks on the news, with questions. Big questions. The problem is that staff aren’t trained to deal with these issues and don’t feel equipped to explain simply enough to their pupils what is going on. Well relax, we’ve created an original animation with lesson plans and resources to deal with this difficult area.

Sensitive Approach to KS1 Extremism and Radicalisation

This brand new focus unit includes three fully planned lessons complete with all resources including an original animation; developed specifically to help teachers educate and discuss tricky real-life issues in KS1. Supports the Prevent strategy in schools and ideal for assemblies.
