This month we have been privileged to have been working in Cairo with a group of educators who first discovered Dimensions through the internet! They saw the potential Dimensions offered them and, after several visits to the UK to see some of our schools in action, they went on to purchase the full Dimensions Toolkit. They saw how it would help them design and develop an exciting, stimulating curriculum for their new school, Mada International Academy, which is opening in September 2011. We spent a week there working alongside them as partner consultants, helping them to shape future learning.
As school visionary, Hadia El Helou, said, “Working with Elaine has been a great experience for us all. We found the sessions to be very focused, informative and truly inspiring. We love the holistic approach that Dimensions offers and we really feel that, through this work, our vision can become a reality. We have become partners in this process with Elaine and her team and are looking forward to working together again soon.”
Mada International Academy is already running a highly successful pre-school with over 200 children on roll, which they now wish to extend through the primary phase, following parental demand.
We are still looking to help recruit creative teachers for this brand new school so if you or anyone you know is interested in sharing their expertise by taking up a teaching post in Egypt then please let us know. They are also looking for an experienced UK Head or Deputy to take on the leadership role. This is an opportunity to work with a fantastic group of people who are truly committed to providing high quality creative education for their pupils. The school is recruiting over the next few months and has asked us to help with that process.
If you’re thinking about using Dimensions to help with your curriculum develpment work, why not get in touch and we can tailor-make a package to suit the specific needs of your school. We don’t believe that one size fits all!
